Biography:
Ms. Wise was born and raised in Gary, IN. While a student in Gary, she attended Emerson Visual and Performing Arts school and majored in vocal music. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in Elementary Education in 2007 with a minor in English Literature.

Immediately after completion of her studies, she began working in Elkhart, IN for the Elkhart Community School District. She taught a total of 4 years for the district. Her first year was spent at Osolo School as a 3 grade teacher. Later, she moved to Beardsley School where she worked as a 2nd grade teacher, a data team leader and was a member of the curriculum and instruction team.

In her short time as a teacher, Ms. Wise has completed several professional development classes and trainings. She received training and a certificate from the Indiana Reading Academy and has completed training in Making Standards Work, Using Data Effectively and Positive Behavior Support.

Ms. Wise has returned to the Gary community and is excited to be a part of the 21st Century Charter School @ Gary and GEO Foundation family, as a second grade teacher.
