21st Century Charter School @ Gary is a fantastic place for students in grades kindergarten to senior year of high school!
For the past five years it has been an honor and a privilege to be the principal of grades k-12 at 21st Century Charter School @ Gary and now it is my privilege to work with secondary, 6-12th grade, students beginning August 2012.
Our outstanding and dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an outstanding education for the students each day as they transition from elementary to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. We are committed to providing our students with instruction that is standards-based and challenging, that meets the needs of each individual student enrolled. By meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students, we help to prepare them for a bright future as we firmly believe that “through our doors walk college graduates”.
Outside of the classroom, there is an extracurricular, co-curricular, or athletic activity for many of our students to become involved. Our school-based organizations include National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Leadership Council, Science Olympiad, Spell Bowl, and Artistically Talented Club, to name a few. We also offer Mandarin and French as foreign languages options to all students in grades k-12.
Our Cougar athletic programs are bound for IHSAA tournament victory! Our programs include: JV/Varsity basketball (girls and boys), track and field, JV/Varsity volleyball, cheerleading, and cross country.

It is my great pleasure this year to join the GEO family at 21st Century Charter School @ Gary. As principal of elementary, I will continue to support the exemplary work that has been taking place. We will all be working together with the children from kindergarten through 12th grade to give them the best education possible. Even in elementary school, a college education is still the goal!
The outstanding new and returning faculty and staff members this year are dedicated to working with you and your children. We hope that as you bring your children to school and school events you will be making those connections with the teacher. Your involvement in your child’s education is a clear sign to them of the value you place upon their education. Parents are the first and best teachers of their children.
There are many exciting activities planned for you and the children this year and we hope you will be involved in them as much as you can. Many of these activities are on the school’s website as well as Facebook and Twitter. The more you follow us in the social media the more informed you will be.
